Ernesto believes in projects of social relevance and utilizes his skill in video to advocate positive change. Ernesto has been documenting A Sacred Journey, a story of his brother's fight with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) since his diagnosis in 2005. In 2013, he decided to edit this heartfelt journey producing the short, which led him to receive the Caregiver of the Year Award by the Caregivers Action Network because of his advocacy through A Sacred Journey. Prior to A Sacred Journey, he worked with Jennifer Lopez on Dance Again, a documentary featuring her first ever world tour. As second unit director, Ernesto traveled to 40 countries in 4 months capturing all of the beauty through his lenses. On the same tour, he directed Lopez' ten dancers and produced six episodes of A Step Away, a doc-series for NUVO TV. Previously, Ernesto has worked for PBS, Spike TV and Mun2 as a director, DP and editor. Ernesto is prepared to direct, produce, shoot or edit, but most importantly, Ernesto has a knack for story and heart that allows him to capture emotions. Quintero is bringing light to exceptional stories that otherwise are going unnoticed and his work is unmistakably poignant and has been awarded.
