Enci was born and raised in Hungary, when it was still under Communist rule. Her mother escaped to Germany when she was 5 and left her and her sister in Hungary for 5 years. During that time, they lived with their father, grandparents, adopted teachers, with schoolmates, and often times alone in a studio apartment.When they finally emigrated to West Germany, Enci was 10 1/2 and she got to see her Mother again. Learning to speak German, getting used to a new culture, a new school system, and making new friends was not easy. Through school she was enrolled in many activities, like tennis, theater, handball (the European version) she studied computer technology and chemistry, and she went through several arts programs.At the age of 16, Enci ran away from home and was homeless for about 2 weeks until she got admitted into a foster home where she lived for a little over a year. At the age of 18 she was homeless again, this time for almost a year. At this time she enrolled in college and studied Psychology and this was also the year when she came to Los Angeles.In America she had to learn English and she started working, getting paid under the table, cleaning houses, baby sitting, dog sitting, and tending bar among other jobs. She started working as a model and worked with a photographer who taught her photography.She started acting and supplemented her income with photography jobs and modeling jobs and she taught herself website design so she could promote her acting and photography better.Meeting her future husband, Stephen Box, she got turned on to riding a bike in Los Angeles in 2002 and ever since she's been riding her bike to auditions, photo gigs, jobs and also for fun.Through cycling Enci and her husband founded illuminateLA and the Bike Writers Collective, both promoting and advocating cycling and alternative transportation in Los Angeles.Enci served on the Board of Women In Theatre from 2006-2008.She serves on the SAG Conservatory Committee and the CalTrans 7 Bicycle Advisory Committee, positions she has held since 2006.In 2007 Enci joined the SkyPilot Theatre Company where her first production was "Taking Sides" written by 'Ronald Harwood'.She also is part of the international production of "Voices From Chornobyl," adapted from the book by the same title and directed by Cindy Marie Jenkins.Enci has been working in N.Y. and L.A., appearing in print campaigns, commercials, on stage, and in films.Enci likes to stay busy on stage or in front of the camera and when she has time you'll find her riding her bike on a Critical Mass ride, with the Midnight Ridazz, or on her own rides that she organizes all over town.
