Emily Haigh is an English actress born in Devon. Her love for acting began at an early age, when she was invited onto the stage during a show in Lapland. This formative moment was encouraged by her supportive parents who enrolled her into The Leonard School of Dramatic Art (LSDA).Two years later, Emily landed a role in a show for the BBC's mainstream channel for children, CBBC.Her first break in feature films, came at just twelve-years-old, doing the voice-over as Camille's sister in Quantum of Solace (2008) the $200 million budget James Bond movie.In 2009, Emily landed a role in the BBC's hospital drama, Casualty: My Last Day: Part 2 (2009) - a show she was asked to return to four years later Casualty: Rabbits in Headlights (2013).After a successful audition for Focus Features in 2011, Emily was cast as Georgiana Reed in the Oscar nominated Jane Eyre (2011).The following year, Emily was awarded a Gold Medal for her performances at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).For the next three years, Emily appeared in a string of successful music videos for such artists as Iko, Vivid Nation, Maddy Carty, and Years & YearsIn 2015 Emily made her directorial debut with the short film, Dead Wrong (2016), which received an exclusive screening at the Lee Strasberg Institute just weeks after its general release. It has since gone on to be screened at a string of international film festivals.Based on her performance in this film, Emily was cast as the lead in The Inuring (2016) - a film she also produced. This anti-bullying drama has just been released and is now on the festival circuit.In 2016 Emily was also cast as the lead in the science-fiction short film Inferno (2016).Later in the year, she began production on her second film as a filmmaker, Run Rabbit (2016). The psychological horror story, shot across two days through her production company Siren Call Films, is now in post-production and will be released this summer.Emily has recently completed filming on the second season of the award-winning Horizon (2015) web series which will be released later this year.In 2017 Emily was cast as the lead in The Nomophobe (2017) a short film drama about smartphone addiction. It will also be the third successive film Emily has worked as a Producer for Sunset Aperture, the production company behind the film.These producing skills are now also at work on Beautified (2017) Emily's latest short film as Writer / Director.
