Emilie De Roo was born on July 2, 1980 in Ghent Belgium. She is an actress and performer. At a young age she knew she was born for the stage and did her first audition in a big musical when she was 10 years old. In 1998 she ends her studies of Word Art & Drama at the municipal Academy of Bruges followed by a period of 10 years working as freelance actress in theater and series. When she met her husband David Van Belleghem, who is a musician, they felt the need to create music together. Emilie contacted her friend Sarah Van Deursen and they started a music band: Kenji Minogue, an eclectic electropop band characterised by absurd content, local dialect and rather insane videos. YouTube and social media willingly picked them up and the two ladies became an instant hit on the main stages in Belgium.
