He graduated from the Universidad del Cine in 1996 and worked for 20 years as an assistant director and screenwriter, both in Argentina and abroad, highlighting his work with Daniel Burman, Marco Bechis and Emanuele Crialese, among other directors.In 2016, he premiered his debut film "The Winter", with which he obtained the Special Jury Prize and the Prize for Best Photography in the Official Competition of the 64th San Sebastián Festival; in the same year he received the Critics' Award and the Award for Best Male Performance at the Biarritz Film Festival; the award for Best Film at Macao Film Festival; the Best First Feature Film Award at Havana Film Festival; the Cinema in Progress and Cinema Plus Award at the Toulouse Film Festival; the DAC and ACCA Award, the Graba 01; and the Silver Condor for Best First Feature Film Award. In 2017, the film received the Best Ibero-American Film at the Seattle Film Festival; Balance de Oro and Signis Prize in Screen Pinamar; Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actor at the Festival de Cine de las Alturas, and Best Photography at the Fénix Film Awards, among others. "The Winter" became the most awarded Argentine film of the year 2016. It has been released commercially in Argentina, France and Spain.As a director, he has two feature film projects in development, "Tide" to be filmed in Spain and Argentina, and "The Good Thief" to be filmed in France.Recently his miniseries project "The Promised Land" has been selected in the Copro Series Market of the Berlinale (2022), becoming the first Latin American project chosen to participate in that section.In 2015 he founded Gaman Cine together with Nicolás Gil Lavedra. The latest film produced by Gaman Cine, "Eami" by Paz Encina, wins the Tiger Award at the last Rotterdam festival (2022).Between 2016 and 2019, he worked as Development Director at Oficina Burman-Mediapro.
