American/ Italian Actress Emilia Poma is known for her role as Zoe Tyler in the Swedish crime series Modus (2017). Emilia was born on January 14, 2000, in Stockholm, Sweden the first of two children in the family. Her Mom is a former Disney marketing executive from Los Angeles and her Dad is an International finance executive, is from Biella, Italy. Emilia's Mom and Dad noticed her acting and musical talent from the age of 3 years old. By the age of 6 years old, she entered the classical conservatory Lilla Akademien in Stockholm, Sweden, studying classical piano. Emilia was soon playing solo piano throughout Europe and the USA, performing in concert for the Royal Family of Sweden, The Nobel Foundation, The Swedish Royal Opera, Festival O/Modernt at Confidencen, The Gotland Music Festival, Corpore Music Festival in Estonia, Villa Pettinengo, Italy, Waldemarsudde, Sweden The Leap Foundation, California, the Nordic Historical Keyboard Festival, Finland. Emilia has performed for the Polar Prize Foundation.In 2012 Emilia was cast in the Swedish City Theater (Stadsteatern) production of Tribadernas Natt by P.O. Enqvist- the story of August Strindberg and Sofie Von Essen. The show ran from August to October 2012. Later in the year, Emilia performed as a soloist for the Kungliga (Royal) Opera house and to cap off an exciting year performed in June at the Festival O/Modernt as a soloist with the Lilla Akademien Orchestra and the Royal Ballet School at the grand theater Ulriksdal's Confidencen.In 2013 big change came for the Poma family. Emilia was accepted to the prestigious Juilliard Pre College in New York, City for Piano. The family packed up their home in Sweden and headed for the Big Apple so that both Emilia and her cellist brother Giorgio Poma of the film (Greenhorn 2014) could further pursue their acting and musical studies. At 14 years old Emilia was accepted to the Fiorello H. Laguardia High School of the Performing Arts singing and acting in over 10 productions including "Titanic the Musical" (2018) in the role of Caroline Neville.In 2014 after meeting famed Metropolitan Opera singer Ms. Nedda Casei, Emilia developed and love of Opera and was granted entrance to the Juilliard Pre College vocal division in 2017. Emilia's performed her senior recital at Juilliard's Paul Hall(2018) and is putting together a production of the Annelies (2020).In 2017 Emilia received an email from the casting agent who cast Emilia in Tribarderna's Natt, asking her if she would like to try out for a role in the Swedish crime thriller series Modus. Emilia said of course, but with one caveat... Emilia was now living in New York City. The casting director and the Modus Director agreed to do a Skype interview. She was hired two days after the interviews.Emilia's breakthrough role in Modus lit the fire of her love of acting. Emilia began filming Modus in February of 2017 in Stockholm, alongside Ms. Kim Cattrall, Greg Wise, Melinda Kinnaman, and Henrik Norlen in the role of Zoe Tyler in Modus.
