Emanuel began acting as a child in theatre, films and television commercials, then pursued acting in High School and into his college years at the University of Miami. There he studied acting-directing and had three directorial debuts - "The Indian Wants The Bronx", "A Hat Full Of Rain" and "The Seagull", performing lead acting roles at the University's Ring Theatre through out the years as well.Upon graduation, the Univision Network selected him as co-host of a nationally, and internationally aired MTV style music and entertainment show called "Ojoreja". Concurrently, Program Director Robert W. Walker hired him as an on-air personality at South Florida's highest rated, Pop Radio station WHYI Y-100.Emanuel then founded his own theatrical company, Gaviota Productions with Cary Ravelo. They produced, directed, and acted in many successful productions, reinvesting most of the profits.Thereafter, Emanuel began working for the Telemundo Network as an actor in three popular, record breaking telenovelas -- "Cadena Braga", "Marielena" and "Tres Destinos", playing the lead antagonist in each. The telenovelas were produced in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic, and aired in the U.S., Europe, Asia, Central and South America, the Caribbean Basin, the Middle East, Africa, and were translated into more than 30 languages.Telemundo then chose Emanuel to play the role of Jimmy Martinez, a corrupt detective with a wild imagination on the hit TV series, "Angeles"--Charlie's Angels in Spanish.Subsequently, Emanuel launched his own Los Angeles based film production company, Knock 'em Alive Films and to date, Emanuel has written, directed, produced and acted in five of its films. The first was "A Simple Choice", which explores adultery, and its effects on a man's life--causing him to lose his sexual identity. It was licensed to NUVO-TV (Jennifer Lopez network) for two years with an option for a third year. The film, having been so well received by audiences, was picked up for the third year."The Mind Conjurers", a story about a paralyzed couple that learns to cope using their minds' power, came next. It screened at the Sunset Laemmle 5 Theater on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles at the NYIFVF and won the Audience Choice Award.The third film, "Lucia Kisses No One" (Lucia No Besa A Nadir), explores the latent effects of child abuse in adults and received industry acclaim making Emanuel a multi award-winning writer-director. These include the Best Latino Film 2009 at the Downtown Film Festival L.A., the Best Actor of the entire festival, and the Audience Choice Award at the 2010 Holly Shorts Film Festival, as well as the Fourteenth Annual Fade In Screenwriting competition 2010, where it won First Place in the Thriller category, and The Accolade Screenwriting Award at The Accolade Awards Competition 2009. Viva Castrama and Rent-A-Bad Student, the most recent films, will begin making the film festival circuit shortly.Emanuel's given back teaching theatre, acting and writing to inner-city Middle Schools, and High Schools for many years with The East L.A. Classical Theatre, whose artistic director is Tony Plana of "Ugly Betty" fame. He also taught filmmaking at the Los Angeles Academy of Arts and Enterprise, a L.A.U.S.D. Charter school owned by Producer Moctesuma Esparza, and Ad Agency owner Hector Orci, and works at Republica Ad, Digital, Branding, Events and Social Media Agency as a Producer-Director L.A. office.
