Edit Angold was born Edit Goldstandt in Berlin, and received her education in that city and in Geneva, Switzerland. She began her acting career on the German stage and emigrated to the US in 1924, where she appeared in many German-language stage productions in New York. She alternated between working in the US and Germany for many years, finally settling in New York in 1932. She headed to Los Angeles in 1940 and had an extensive career on stage, film, radio and television. She died in Hollywood in 1971. Show less «
