Dustin loves to say he began his acting career as a young child when he'd perform complex dramatic performances in efforts to manipulate his parents so he could have his way. From there he expanded to local community and school choirs and theater programs where he really found his love for being in the spotlight. He's performed in such plays as Cheaper by the Dozen and An Actor's Nightmare, as well as musicals Guys & Dolls (twice-Benny Southstreet and Big Jule), Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Pharaoh), as well as Oklahoma!, Bye Bye Birdie, and Brigadoon (all chorus ensemble). After he graduated from college Dustin thought pursuing a business career on the Trading Floor of the Chicago Board of Trade was a better life than being a starving actor so he focused on that for about 10 years of life before moving to China (Wuxi), and then Russia (Moscow) to teach English to children. During this time Dustin created a travel/life blog (www.thedchav.com) which gained great popularity in his local community and around the world. After arriving in Moscow, it didn't take long for word to get around about the 'wild man' American actor in town, and he got jobs teaching acting and doing voice overs. That was then followed up by a few commercials, and then movies! His most acclaimed film, "Breaking Up With Jenny" has been a tremendous success in the short film genre and has been accepted to a variety of film festivals around the world, as well as winning an award at the Karoche Film Festival in Kaliningrad, Russia in 2016.Right now Dustin still loves to write. He still updates his blog, and is trying to combine his most popular short stories into a book. Also, he recently finished a screenplay for a Russian/American crossover movie that he is slowly starting to look for financing on in the hopes that he can get it started in the next year. Show less «
