Drew Tanner was born on February 12th, 1992 in Victoria, B.C. and raised in Aldergrove, B.C. Since he was young he was on the stage in elementary school performances, all the way through high school. Drew enrolled in every class he could. On the first day of Theatre Class he reluctantly dropped out of the program as his teacher at the time labelled him not fit for the arts and to stick with football. When grade 11 came around Drew decided to take acting more seriously so he spent his summer getting an agent for commercials, T.V. and film. When he got back after summer break he had a fresh outlook on taking up theatre again and stuck with it this time while still playing football. His graduating year he had scholarship offers to several universities and ended up choosing the University of Manitoba. He was even on there active football roster and Scheduled to leave the coming fall. With the football season over and training completed Drew had now time to audition for school plays that he never could before. He auditioned for a supporting role in a production called The Crucibles based off of the book. To his surprise he ended getting cast as the lead role. His love and desire to be an actor grew. As a late decision Drew decided to give up his scholarship and pursue a career in acting, as this is where he felt his heart was meant to be. Since then he has booked roles on various shows, such as R.L.
