For his career, he compiled 114 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, and four interceptions. He added 20 pass breakups and a sack and was named All-America Second Team by Sporting News in 2017 and All-SEC Second Team in 2017. In 2017 he finished with 49 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, a sack and an interception. In his sophomore season of 2016, he played in 12 games with 11 starts. Jackson recorded the second-most pass breakups with eight on the season. He also had 39 tackles and returned seven kick-offs during the season along with two interceptions and a forced fumble. Jackson also competed on LSU's track teams as one of the NCAA's top sprinters during the 2017 track season. He was an SEC finalist in the 60 meters indoors and 100 meters outdoors at the SEC Championships. Jackson was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2018 Draft (55th overall).
