Sister of Joanna Kerns. She won two gold medals in swimming in the 1964 summer Olympics, and was the youngest American on the 1960 Olympic team. In 1965, became the first woman on network TV as a sports broadcaster. She was in the chair for the 1999 Women's World Cup in America.
