Don Keith is the author/co-author of more than 30 books, including the national bestselling thriller "Final Bearing" and its sequel, "Firing Point", which became the major motion picture Hunter Killer (2018). Keith was born in Springville, Alabama, and graduated from the University of Alabama. He spent 22-years as a broadcast journalist and on-air personality, received every major award in his state from the Associated Press and United Press International, and was twice named Billboard Magazine's "Radio Personality of the Year." He began his writing career in 1995 with the publication of his critically-acclaimed debut novel, "The Forever Season". The book remains in print. He has written both fiction and non-fiction on subjects including broadcasting, NASCAR racing, college football, World War II history, and submarines. "The Ice Diaries", co-written with Captain William Anderson, recounting USS Nautilus and her historic trip to the North Pole in 1958, was submitted for consideration for the Pulitzer Prize. Many of his works have been featured selections by The Military Book Club and The History Book Club.
