Djoré Nance is a singer, musician, actor, and conductor originally from Dallas, TX. Djoré has been a frequent guest of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. In 2008, Djoré made his Carnegie Hall debut with the Opera Orchestra of New York. Since then he has performed many more times at Carnegie Hall, Avery Fisher Hall, and Alice Tully Hall. His operatic pursuits have taken him to Teatro Communale di Bologna, Landestheater Linz, and many other opera houses. Djoré performs many genres of music and he has shared the stage as an act and as a supporting musician with many artists of renown including Reneé Fleming, Eve Queler, Jonas Kaufmann, Celine Dion, Sarah Brightman, Wynona Judd, BeBe Winans, Andre Crouch, Kirk Franklin, Damien Sneed, The Clark Sisters, Kim Burrell, and many others. His work as an actor can be seen as a series regular in the upcoming HBO series "Random Acts of Flyness"; and In 2018, Djoré will join the cast of Broadway's "Hamilton" as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson. Djoré is also a distinguished conductor and has held positions as a choral conductor at Marble Collegiate Church, St. Luke "Community" United Methodist Church, Drew University, The Juilliard School, and many other institutions. Djoré holds degrees from Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, The University of North Texas, and New York's famed conservatory, The Juilliard School.
