Dillon Bentlage was born in Shelton, Connecticut in 1995. His father, Antonius Bentlage, is a Dutch immigrant while his mother, Karen Bentlage, grew up right down the road from where he was raised. An avid storyteller from a young age, Karen remembers when her son was only two, he began to quote movie lines and reenact his favorite scenes. After attending Boston University with a degree in Cinema and Literature, Dillon moved to Amsterdam, Netherlands in order to reconnect with his dutch heritage. While in the Netherlands, Dillon has served as a production assistant on two theatrical films, one of which was nominate for a Golden Calf, as well as began a career as a film editor. He has worked on projects such as "Baantjer" and the Nickelodeon series "HunterStreet". Most recently Dillon has began his own production company with his lifelong friend, Brian Reilly. The production company, Karen Twins Productions, has made award winning content such as their 2020 feature film debut, "Dilettantes". "Dilettantes" is available for rent or buy on Amazon Prime. While Dillon is exploring all aspects of the industry, he still considers himself first and foremost a writer. He continues to write in his spare time, and does not plan on stopping soon.
