In 2016, Diana Hopper can be seen co-starring as Denise McBride opposite Billy Bob Thornton in the Amazon original drama series "Goliath." Executive Produced by David E. Kelley (Ally McBeal, Boston Legal) the show follows down and out lawyer Billy McBride (Thornton) as he seeks redemption. His one shot depends on getting justice in a legal system where truth has become a commodity, and the scales of justice have never been more heavily weighed towards the rich and powerful. Diana shines as Billy Bob Thornton's daughter, and although she is in high school, she has a good head on her shoulders and will do whatever it takes to be there for her dad. "Goliath" is set to premiere on October 14, 2016.Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Diana first discovered her passion for creating characters on stage. At 11 years old she was cast as the mayor's younger daughter, Gracie Shinn, in a community theater production of "The Music Man," and she was hooked. She immersed herself in local and regional theater, and in the summer 2010 she attended the New York Film Academy's acting program in New York City, furthering her professional training. In 2011 Diana landed her first lead role in a feature film, appearing as Sammy in "The Wicked" for Anchor Bay Entertainment. After she wrapped filming, she decided to make the move to Los Angeles and pursue an acting career full time. Diana immediately booked a handful of TV projects including a role on "Criminal Minds," supporting roles in "Earthfall" for Lifetime, "Lavalantula" for SYFY, and she dabbled in comedy appearing on VH1's "Stevie TV." 2015 was a banner year, as she secured another lead role in a Lifetime movie called "Hidden Truth," and landed a supporting role in her current project, "Goliath" for Amazon. This year, while filming "Goliath" Diana filmed a role for the Golden Globe nominated HULU series "Casual."When she isn't on set, Diana loves to hang out with her friends, explore the great outdoors, and cook. She notes that some of her signature dishes are stir fry, and sweet and sour pork [her mom's recipe!] She also loves music, her favorite artists include: Brandon Flowers, Radiohead, Kendrick Lamar, Phoenix, Florence and the Machine, Third Eye Blind, and Led Zeppelin. Come basketball season, you can find Diana rooting for the Memphis Grizzlies. She currently lives in the LA area.
