Devon Elora is an actress born in Wilmington, Delaware and raised in Roscoe, Illinois. She is the daughter of Sandra Dykstra(Gonzalez), a credit manager, and Richard Ligus, president of his own business consulting firm. She has an older sister named Kimberly and 8 southern nieces and nephews. As a little girl, Devon was fascinated while watching the making of the Star Wars film, Return of the Jedi, and made up her mind to some day move to California to work in major motion pictures. Always an entrepreneur, Devon worked at lemonade stands, began a babysitter's club, held dance shows in her basement (charging her family 5 dollars to watch), and turned her mother's kitchen into a restaurant. At Hononegah Highschool, she was involved in drama club and acted in 6 shows a year at school and in community theater. This included "Cinderella" in Cinderella, "Yente" in Fiddler on the Roof, and "Aunt Bella" in Lost in Yonkers. Devon also loved performing in the drama team and working as a youth leader in her local church.Attending Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, she majored in Television Production and minored in Theater. She traveled around with the Christian Ska band SKUF and spoke to teenagers about spreading unconditional love and positivity into the world. After graduating college, Devon wanted to spend time helping her family and moved to Louisiana to take care of her nieces and nephews. After a year had passed, she moved to Birmingham, Alabama with her mother and raised the money to move out to California by working at the front desk of a four star hotel. After only 2 days of living on the west coast, Devon landed the job of Charlice Theron's hair double in a L'Oreal commercial directed by David Lynch. Still having her heart set on working in science fiction films, she spent the first ten years in California producing, casting, acting, and standing in on many different projects... including JJ Abram's Star Trek and Star Trek: Into Darkness. While working on the TV series Raising the Bar, Devon met producer/director Jesse Bochco, who later gave her a recurring guest star on TNT's Murder in the First. She continues to jump around on various projects and aspires to spread light and love wherever she goes. When not on set, Devon spends time with her 2 children, Chewy (a bichon frise/poodle rescue) and Wicket (a shih tzu/yorkie rescue). She remains involved with various charities and fund raisers for animal rescues.
