After training in directing and script-writing at ESRA Paris high school, Despina began to develop feature film projects in France before continuing her career as an actress and then singer-songwriter for Greece, country of her origins, where she signed, under the name of Despina Ricci , an electro-pop album with Virgin EMI Greece in 2011 entitled "What I Am". Among other things, she was to represent Greece at Eurovision in 2010 before retiring to finalize her album in Paris-France. Of this album, was notably noticed the hit "Now I know", a duet with Stereomike, a Greek rapper based in London. She then directed some short films in self-production, then returned to her first love by writing new projects for feature films currently in development. "J'ai Cru Que Tu Partais Sans Moi" (english title "Night Drive") is her first short film produced by Wombat Films, a production with which she is already working on the next one to be filmed this year, with the support of the Hauts-DE-France region, OCS and the CNC.
