Dennis has been acting in theater, film, and television for over 34 years. Not only does he find acting a joy and calling, but also an opportunity to build relationships while encouraging and mentoring others within the industry. With experience and training in radio broadcasting, acting (film and stage), reporting and writing- Dennis has a wide array of talents in the arts and finds tremendous joy in being able to use them to be a positive voice in the business. As a young kid growing up in Springfield, Ohio, Dennis would write and perform plays in the garage. There were many Summer evenings that neighbors would gather their lawn chairs to watch the myriad of neighbor kids perform. Dennis' passion led him to participating in Middle and High School plays where he found his most Joy.Dennis earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Xavier University in 1988. He worked in multiple capacities as a News Reporter and Anchor for various radio stations in southwest Ohio, including sports coverage of local High School Football and Basketball games. He served a tour in the U.S. Submarine Service and eventually settled in Cleveland, Ohio. He established a very active Drama Ministry at the church he attended. He would direct and perform in various Sunday morning skits that would provide real life examples to enhance the pastor's messages. These led to producing bigger and more extravagant theater productions at Christmas and Easter. Drama ministry is still something Dennis commits his time and energy to, despite multiple moves. Dennis finds the importance of community to be paramount and therefore finds a niche in Drama ministry no matter where his work takes him.In 2002, Dennis led a team of six Americans to Western Ukraine, where they provided a daily drama presentation to over 300 Ukrainian children. He, his team, and Ukrainian translator's built a stage in the forest with ropes and sheets. It was a truly heart warming experience to see "Drama" performed in the woods and villagers traveled to see and hear the messages that were conveyed.Dennis never misses an opportunity to help and encourage those pursuing their own dream, nor does he ever miss a chance to use his gifts in the arts to communicate those things most important to him: faith, family, friends and selflessness.
