Denise Nicholson was born on December 19, 1971 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Before she decided on a career as an actress, Denise trained as a hairdresser in one of the top salons in Edinburgh and also worked as an Executive PA in banking. Denise enrolled in acting classes at the Edinburgh Acting School and, in her late 20's, after being accepted into the Academy Drama School, she moved to London to pursue full time training.Denise has performed in several productions at the Edinburgh International Fringe Festival (with 4 & 5 star reviews).
