Dawna Marie Wright was born in Georgetown (Esquesing Township) Ontario, Canada. She was raised by her grandmother in the early years while her mother (Judy) was in and out of the hospital due to anxiety attacks. She met her biological father (Pat) for the first time when she turned 30 and never saw him again. Her onstage debut was a Christmas Play playing the part of the Virgin Mary at the age of 7. In Public school she was an award winner in the regional speech contest on her speech "Idioms" and was also President of her school. At 15 she left home, to live once again with her grandparents after troublesome times at home. After graduating high school with Drama, Psychology and English to her credits she attended Sheridan College in Oakville graduating with a diploma in Modelling & related careers.It was shortly thereafter she moved to Toronto to pursue acting instead of modeling. Studying with Miriam Laurence led her to appear in TV shows, theatre and film as well as writing a one-woman show. She also writes children's story-poems under the pen name PollY PoE, published via Cafepress as well as erotica poetry (known as Blue Angel) that has also been published. In her 20s she was a go-go dancer and also a backup vocalist for Drew& The Amazing Sideshow. She resides in Toronto with her cat Freckles. Show less «
