David S. Robinson Hicks (Born October 30, 1995) is a young professional, born into a family of entertainers and philanthropists through Team United. Since his debut in his Team United's theatrical presentation of "The Magic Of The Dream" in 1999 (written by Team United, to benefit the LA's Best After School Program), David has remained mindful of balancing his responsibilities in social outreach with his aspirations as a performer. Since a young age, David has tapered his identity as a vaudevillian performer; a master of ceremonies who freely slides between mediums. David is also an accomplished dancer, musician, writer, designer, producer and filmmaker.David has appeared in dozens of theatrical productions nationwide, a creative freedom he earned through landing long-running, national commercials in his early career, representing brands such as Metlife, Revolt, and McDonalds. A member of the Metropolitan Opera's Children's Chorus (directed by Elena Dorya), David remains a prolific singer/songwriter, tapering his debut album "Rhyming In The Universe".David's career took a major turning point when he became infatuated with the technical aspects of theater and film, after a lifetime of backstage experience between his family's productions, and those of the Young Actors Project; in 2014, David went on to serve as an assistant to Musical Director Rahn Coleman for "Kiss Me, Kate" at the Pasadena Playhouse, starring Wayne Brady and Directed by Sheldon Epps.Winner of the 2005 Young Performer of the Year for his live charitable performances throughout the Los Angeles area, David went on to garner a host of other accolades from periodic performance tours across the United States between 2004 and 2011. Touring gave David the chance to engage communities throughout New York City, Miami and Orlando, and broaden his roster of songs to raise awareness of social issues which effected various communities.Over the course of his touring, David premiered a number of songs including The "Jackie Robinson Tribute", written in collaboration with his uncle, Dr. Geek, celebrating the life and pivotal career of the baseball icon. The song premiered in MCU/Keyspan Park, where the Brooklyn Dodgers once played. The Jackie Robinson Tribute went on to be adapted into Jackie Robinson Tribute: Youth In Salute (2013)David's acting training began at the age of 3, when he moved to Los Angeles from his hometown of New York, he found a much needed outlet through classical literature. By the age of 5, David had memorized a number of Shakesperian soliloquies, and held writing credits on songs, plays and films which were shared with communities of youth nationwide through the activities of Team United and Global Campus Brotherhood Through The Arts Foundation.As a dancer, David has trained with the Malibu Ballet and Performing Arts Society, and Columbus Dance Theatre in Orlando; he has grown into a choreographer and earned his place as a featured performer in live performances, films and music videos.
