Dr. David Shafer is a New York City plastic surgeon, fellowship trained in cosmetic surgery and Mayo Clinic trained in plastic and reconstructive surgery. He specializes in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast and body. He has many notable celebrity patients as well as local New Yorkers and international patients. Dr. Shafer is a peer trainer in Botox and dermal fillers both nationally and internationally.David Shafer was born in San Antonio, Texas and moved to East Lansing, Michigan at the age of two. He attended East Lansing High School then the University of Michigan in which he graduated with the highest honors. Following this he attended Michigan State University for medical school and then completed his general surgery training at Maricopa Medical Center and the Arizona Burn Center. He then traveled to Rochester, Minnesota for plastic surgery training and ended up starting a private practice after completing an aesthetic surgery fellowship at Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital.
