David Jachin Kelley was born in Seattle, Washington, August 23, 1971, the child of two young artists. His dad made jewelry out of eating utensils and his mom was a painter.His family moved to Salem, Oregon when he was 2 years old where he would spend the next 20 years of his life.As a young boy, David was inspired by the actors he saw every day when he would sneak into the historic vaudevillian-era movie house next door.David graduated from Western Oregon University in 1994 with a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance.After a couple of years in the Seattle theatre scene, David received the top National Scholarship to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. The training he received there from Broadway veterans was invaluable. After graduation in 1997, he quickly found employment as a professional actor and singer on stage in various Equity regional theater productions and on camera in film and commercials.David is now based in Florida and in addition to acting and singing he enjoys riding his Harley, raising his two kids and traveling the world with his wife, actress Krista Kelley.David credits his success to the strong work ethic instilled in him by his father, The Spoonman, Mike Kelley.
