Stephen "David" Calhoun was born in Atlanta, GA on December 29, 1963. He was raised in neighboring Douglasville, GA where he attended school through graduation at Douglas County High School (where he was initially bitten by the acting bug on a dare). He then attended West Georgia College (now known as the University of West Georgia) for two years where he studied Mass Communications. David also joined the Kappa Sigma fraternity while at WGC. In 1983, David then entered the military joining the US Army. During his stint in the Army he was stationed at Schofield Barracks in Hawaii. He also continued his studies in Mass Communications at the University of Hawaii. After leaving the military, David was a police officer for three years in the town of Carrollton, GA (also the home of the aforementioned West Georgia College). David suffered a severe back injury in 1994 that left him in a wheelchair for 15 months. It was not until after extensive rehabilitation that David was able to begin to pursue acting again. He did so with a number of "extra" roles in TV shows and motion pictures filmed in the Atlanta-area. His acting resume continued to grow steadily on both film and stage after he gained representation by Houghton Talent Agency in Atlanta. 2011 was a banner year for David with a number of roles in independent films such as "life.less" and the hit MTV series "Teen Wolf". David continues to reside in the Atlanta-area in the northwestern suburb of Dallas, GA.
