David Carlo Steyn is a writer, actor, and director from Pretoria, South Africa. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Creative Writing and Literature from the University of South Africa. David lived and studied screenwriting at NYFA in Los Angeles and attended The Second City training center there. He also has a qualification in method acting from CityVarsity.David has worked and collaborated with various filmmakers and producers on a variety of screenplays for both film and television. Steyn has appeared in a variety of South African television commercials for products such as Outsurance, MTN, Danone, and Bioplus. He has done voice-over work for several foreign animation television series dubbed into English, such as Gladiator Academy, Pippy Longstocking, and Zip & Zap.He also played a supporting role in the South African television sitcom pilot, Pre-Sure, produced by Urban Brew Studios and directed by Meg Rickards.
