A Native of Berkeley California, Daryl found his passion while earning a degree in Radio, Television and Film production at Chapman University. At Chapman he appeared in and worked on numerous student directed Stage performances and TV productions while at the helm of his own Radio show.Securing his first agency representation in March of 2004 in San Francisco, Ca., he was quickly blessed with numerous opportunities in the Commercial market. Cultivating a relationship with Carol H. Williams Advertising in Oakland, California, Daryl had recurring Voice Over roles for Chevy, GMC, and Cadillac.Soon after, Daryl received his first role in a Broadway-type production with Theatreworks called "Memphis", music composed by David Bryan, keyboardist and co-founder of rock band Bonjovi. Daryl has gone on to be a part of over 30 full length stage performances and numerous commercials on Radio and TV, as well as 6 feature films nationwide and abroad. Highlights have been looping opportunities on a national Capital One commercial and the feature film, "Zodiak", directed by David Fincher. Other highlights include a principal role in "Bulrusher", written by Eisa Davis and named as a Pulitzer Prize finalist in 2007, and a principal role in "Short Eyes, written by Miguel Pinero and directed by Julian Acosta in Los Angeles. This production received rave reviews in an extended run in LA and represented the city of Los Angeles in the International Hispanic Theatre Festival held in south Beach Miami at the Adrienne Arsht Center!The most challenging highlight was provided by Daryl's lead role in Sonny's Blues, a short story written by James Baldwin. This was Daryl's first touring opportunity and first overseas visit to France where it was performed in 4 cities. Shortly after, Daryl transplanted himself to Los Angeles in 2008 where he has appeared as a principal in festival award winning feature films, "Meipporul" and "Everyday Black Man" , as well as been seen in numerous TV shows including hits like "Private Practice", "Medium", "Community", "True Blood", "Greek", "Big Time Rush" and most recently featured in "Grey's Anatomy" as patient Jimmy Strickland.In September of 2011, Daryl wrapped shooting on "the Garden", an epic short feature written and directed by Michael Montgomery. Sundance Film festival submission in 2013. In September, 2013, Daryl began working on the much heralded animation project, "The Power Of Persuasion" chronicling part of President Obama's childhood as the voice of Barack Obama Sr., with over 3800 views for the teaser on Youtube.
