Daniela Tocari was born in Chisinau, Moldova and raised in Romania. She started studying piano and ballet at the age of six and continued for twelve years until she graduated "Octav Bancila" Music High School in 2006. When she was 15 she started to dance in professional competitions as a ballroom dancer. At the age of 21, she debuted in "Women of Troy" at the National Theatre in Iasi next to big names of the Romanian Theatre and directed by the critically acclaimed Andrei Serban, for which she gathered great reviews. Until she graduated her BA in Acting at the University of Arts"George Enescu", she was performing at the National Theatre in Iasi, Romania working with directors such as Silviu Purcarete, Mihai Maniutiu and others. She was admitted at the Acting program at the National University of Theatre and Film "I.L.Caragiale" (U.N.A.T.C.) until 2015 where she has got her MA. While she was in University she worked in "West Side Story" musical at Odeon Theatre, "The Seagull" and Commedia dell'Arte shows. Since graduating, Daniela continued working in Romania on her first feature film "Crime and Punishment" directed by Jon Gostin at the National Romanian Television and several short movies. She extended her experience in musicals such as "Our ladies of perpetual succour" at Excelsior Theatre in Bucharest and live jazz performances in New York and Montreal for which she gathered amazing reviews.
