Daniel Lee Perea is an award-winning musician, award-winning director, actor, writer, journalist, web personality and semi-pro gamer. He has participated in numerous musical projects including Dr. Daniel & The Rockabilly Vampires, Astrocasket, and solo endeavors. In the US, he is often referred to by the nickname "El Bebop Kid" - a moniker originally used by Baldemar Huerta in the late 50s.Daniel grew up partially on a farm outside Cleveland Ohio, arguably the birthplace of being immersed in bluegrass music by his family. At a young age, Perea moved to rural Alabama just south of Muscle Shoals. At age 18, he moved to the fertile musical grounds of Mississippi, where he resided for the next two decades.Daniel's acting career includes appearances in Butterfly Rising, Texas Heart, and numerous character roles in independent projects.As a director, he's won acclaim in the fields of narrative, documentary, music video, and experimental film.He has collaborated with Jimbo Mathus, blues hall of famer Dick Waterman, Tyler Keith, and rockabilly hall of famer Bud Bays.As a video gamer, Daniel holds numerous world records, has appeared in three editions of Guinness World Records: Gamer's Edition, and claims to be the best NBA Jam player of all time.Daniel Lee Perea has been a key player in building Pizza TV - an offshoot of PMQ Pizza Magazine, an international trade magazine widely considered 'The World's Authority on Pizza."
