Daniel André is a filmmaker, artist, and music producer born in Cuernavaca, Morelos Mexico and raised just outside of New York City. Daniel started acting at the age of five and trained in Stanislofsky at age nine, working professionally in theater, television and film though his teens. Mr. André studied Film and Media Arts at the University of Arizona and Pima College in Tucson, AZ and has a degree in Film & Digital Arts. Since 2009 Mr. André has been working mainly in film production, producing and directing several short films as well as producing and directing innovative content for feature films, independent music videos and commercial projects for The Asylum, IMAX, PBS, Hitrecord, Sony, and more. From 2013-15 Daniel worked in post-production exclusively for IMAX. There Daniel worked over 70 plus films for IMAX, often getting to work beside some of Hollywood's most accomplished directors such as Chris Nolan, James Cameron, Zack Snyder, Michael Bay and Antoine Fuqua to name a few.From the mid 90's to 2006 Mr. André also worked in the music industry as a DJ and music producer in New York City. By 1999 Daniel Andre was a staple the NYC house music scene, holding down residency's and playing in some of the most exclusive clubs throughout the U.S. In 2001 Daniel's debut track Daniel Andre -¨Imagination¨ EP on Red Menace Records (US) with remix by Modest D quickly gained him international recognition. ¨Imagination¨ went on to be licensed to the Atmosphrex CD: Recreate mixed by Andy Ling (Hooj Choons UK) Along with being released in 2002 as an Atmosphrex mixed DVD via Moonshine with CGI visuals by the famed Exotic Robotics. Also in 2001, releasing a track of Co-Production with Legendary NYC House Producer Jahkey B, B Faktor - ¨Make Me Cry¨ which was released on Ultra's YOU! Sub label ¨Make Me Cry¨ was also featured on the F/X Chanel's hit TV show ¨Nip/Tuck¨. While working at NYC Legend Francois K's of Studio 54 fame, Wave Music. Daniel helped to broaden the already globally respected Wave Music Catalog by A&Ring tracks by Alexi Delano, The Timewriter & Felix da HouseCat.Since 2012 Mr. André has called Los Angeles, CA home where he continues to DJ, produce music, paint and work as a filmmaker.
