Dani Shay is a singer/songwriter who started playing the guitar when he was sixteen. He allows real life moments & experiences inspire him to write songs with poetic-like lyrics. He released his first self produced album called "Free! The EP" in 2008 followed by "Rise From The Dead" in 2009, and "See Me Now" in 2010. In that time he also did small live shows in Florida and posted a few YouTube videos, however, it wasn't until 2011 that others across the nation and even the world would discover him.In 2011, he auditioned for America's Got Talent (AGT) and made it to the top 48. His resemblance to Justin Bieber helped get audiences to tune in, but his voice and wit gained his fans -whom he calls his "Superheroes". After his time on AGT, Dani kept moving forward. He helped start up a "Pro-love/Anti-bully" movement called BeMoreHeroic and released 2 singles "Superheroes" and "What The Hell" by the end of the year.Jan. 2012 he released his fourth album "All In Favor Say I" along with another single "Know You". Soon after he went on the cast of The Glee Project (where he met current girlfriend Ali Stroker) and made it to the top 12. Once again, Dani was able to charm his way into the hearts of not only America, but others across the world. He is very aware of his "superheroes" and enjoys connecting with them at live shows and occasional online shows/Q&A's as well.On August 21, 2017 Dani posted a video on YouTube announcing he identifies as non-binary transmasculine. From September 6, 2017 through October 22, Dani starred in the new musical The CiviliTy of Albert Cashier by creator Paul Deratany and lyrics/music by Joe Stevens and Keaton Wooden on Stage 773 in Chicago, IL.
