Position: Hooker Born: 11/12/1986 Physical: 1.84m, 110kg (6', 243lb) Test Debut: v Scotland at Edinburgh, 11 November 2012 With a remarkable array of skills and deceptive speed, Dane Coles has redefined the qualities required for a modern international front rower. Whether in the thick of things or out wide, Coles has an ability to break through tackles, offload with a final pass or leave defenders flat footed. He is a fan favourite for Wellington and the Hurricanes, and as Captain of the Hurricanes, was a key part of his team picking up their first Super Rugby title in 2016. Coles made his national debut for New Zealand Under 19 in 2005, played for New Zealand Under 21 in 2007 and in 2010 joined the Maori All Blacks for all three matches in the team's Centenary Series. Coles has played five times each against France and Wales and twice against Scotland, with the Scots holding a special memory for Coles - he made his Test debut off the bench against them in 2012.
