Houston born, Boston raised Dan Godlin spent his high school years juggling two personas: that of a rough and tumble football captain, but also a sensitive and heartfelt musician. Despite being scouted by Ivy League coaches, when faced with the difficult decision, Dan chose to follow music. He began recording and co-producing his first full-length album in early 2009 while simultaneously pursuing a bachelor's degree from NYU. After graduating in 2012, Godlin released his debut album, Loving On Empty, which quickly garnered a spot on the Top 200 Hot Adult Contemporary radio charts and a #3 spot on iHeart Radio's New! countdown. Dan was also named Channel One's Artist of the Month and went on to be nominated for 2012's Artist of the Year.In early 2013, Godlin worked on a follow-up EP, In Between, co-writing and co-producing songs with Jim McGorman (Avril Lavigne, Cassadee Pope, Weezer) and Robb Vallier (Gin Blossoms, R. Kelly, Wailing Souls). Godlin referred to this collection of songs as a concept album, which speaks about the "quarter-life crisis" of the twenty-somethings generation struggling to find a middle ground between the real world and the "follow-your-heart fairytale" it was raised to believe. The unique sounds and lyrics on this EP reveal a more mature Godlin, who is described as:...a 24 year old dreamer who croons like Jason Mraz, hugs like a best friend and embodies a magnetic, good-guy charm reminiscent of a male version of Taylor Swift...Taking his pop/rock cues from bands like Matchbox Twenty, the Goo Goo Dolls, and The Fray, Godlin hit the road in 2014 as a support act for such artists as Howie Day, Ryan Cabrera, Tony Lucca, Tyler Hilton and Anna Nalick. He made some notable stops along the way including the 9th Annual Global MUSEXPO and Radio Summit in Hollywood. Godlin's songs have been played 30,000 feet above ground on American Airlines' most popular radio station "The Hit List" and have aired multiple times on E!'s "Keeping Up with the Kardashians", MTV's "The Challenge", ABC Family's "The Vineyard" and the hit Canadian TV show "Degrassi". Most recently, Dan's song "Hardly Wait" (co-written by Latch Key Kid) was featured in the trailer of Hong Kong's hottest new romantic comedy Women Who Flirt. In addition to his music career, Godlin began acting in 2013 when he landed a role in the American independent teen comedy film G.B.F. as high school jock Cameron Woods. He is now based in Los Angeles.
