Damian Stout (Mr. Music Man) has devoted his life's work to being a musician, with an emphasis on piano. Damian Stout hails from Lebanon, Ohio, after living in Bowling Green, Ohio for half of his life (1994-2011).Until the Hallmark movie, "The Christmas Spirit", his biggest accomplishment was the complete composition for a brand new Off-Broadway musical, Key Changes, which premiered in Brooklyn, New York, in July of 2010. From the fall of 2009 through the Spring of 2011, he was the full-time accompanist and part-time vocal coach for the Fostoria High and Junior High School music department. For the past 14 years, he has worked as a collaborative pianist for Bowling Green State University music performance students, and a rehearsal/music director for over 75 musical productions in the northwest Ohio region. After pursuing his degree in Music Composition at BGSU, he pursued freelance, in the Bowling Green/Toledo areas. He has worked with more than 500 college and high school students who were budding as young musicians. He has provided his gifted piano skills for dance programs, choral concerts, seminars, workshops, music camps, music theater (auditions, classes, productions), and opera productions.Since he was 4 years old, he picked up piano playing by ear three years before he was taught how to read music. Not only does he play, but he also sings, composes, and arranges music. He started his young vocal career singing in a church boy choir, with the St. Patrick's Church Boy Choir in Lebanon, Ohio, and then became a member of the Cincinnati Boy Choir (CBC), while also being in his school choirs. He even had the opportunity and honor in becoming a student assistant director during his 5th year in the CBC, where he shared the responsibility with a fellow member. They both were debuted as conductors, at the age of 14. The CBC inspired Damian to keep singing throughout his adolescence, collegiate career, and community choirs. He's also written over 20 piano and voice compositions.Damian has been involved with many levels of schools in the NW Ohio area during his freelance time, and area community theater companies promoting a high level of excellence in the performing arts, including Black Swamp Players (Bowling Green), 3B Productions (Holland/Maumee), and Today Productions (Toledo). He's also led Cabaret Showcases in the Toledo area. His versatility in the music field is legendary as he performs for weddings, church organ performances, holiday/birthday party gigs, and other special events. As a college student, he had the opportunity to travel throughout our country singing with many BGSU choirs. As he was accompanied by the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, he was a featured improvisational jazz pianist during the BGSU Choral Society's 2003 Summer Tour of Salzburg, Munich, and Prague (Dvorak Festival), playing music of Dave Brubeck. He is currently in a transition period, where he's focusing his energy in pursuing the entertainment side with aspirations to perform on cruise-ships. Damian is devoted to showcase his many talents and gifts from God.
