Daman Malone was born in Greenwich, South East London. His father left when he was three years old, so he was brought up by his mother and grandmother in a modest but very full house.Daman is the first in his family to pursue a career in acting and although he comes from a fairly small town, Eltham and nearby towns have helped produce some great British talent, such as Jude Law, who was a member of the Bob Hope Theatre in Eltham and Gary Oldman, who attended the Rose Bruford College in nearby Deptford. In 1998 Daman joined the Bob Hope Theatre after auditioning for a play that was later canceled due to financing issues. Daman studied A-Level Drama after graduating high school and continued with acting classes at the City Literary Institute in London. Initially Daman spent time working in theatre, specifically Theatre in Education (TIE) performing for local schools, providing education on homelessness, drug abuse, bullying and other social issues, through theatre.
