CT Evans was born in the state of Maine while his father was stationed in the Air Force there, but soon after his birth, the family relocated to Connecticut. Over the years, Evans has lived in several towns and cities across central and southern Connecticut. The family moved a few times while he was growing up and, after his parents divorced when CT was 11 years old, he moved some more until high school. Independent by age 18, he put himself through college, mostly working days and taking classes at night.Evans had his first exposure to the film industry as a production assistant on an independent film and served as key PA on two other shorts, taking on a small acting role in the second one. He also taught high school math briefly before completing his bachelor's program in mechanical engineering. After graduating from college, he worked as a project engineer, and then took a job in sales and business development before returning to the tech sector as a sales engineer.Ever eager to experience the world, Evans has been to 31 states, 2 US territories, and roughly 25 countries. He lived in the Philippines for six months and the next year decided to spend a year in China, so he took a teaching job as a means to live there. That first one-year contract, turned into two, and he continued returning for other opportunities year after year. He has now been living in China straight since 2015 and has focused on his acting career since landing a role in Crazy Alien, a blockbuster theatrical Si-Fi comedy in China. He has appeared in film, TV series, commercials, and on live TV, as well as recording voice work and doing other acting-related projects. Between December 2020 and January 2021, he was featured in a recurring role across seven episodes of the #1 TV series in China. After living in China for years without knowing the language, in 2018, Evans enrolled in the School of Overseas Education at Soochow University to study Chinese mandarin and has successfully completed the first two levels of the seven-level program. In his first semester of study, he adopted the Chinese name Gao Mingyu (usually written in Chinese characters) and uses the name regularly in China. Show less «
