Cristina Encarnacion is a Dominican actress from Florida best known for her role as River Mounier in the renowned HBO's 'Insecure' and 'Blackish' writer Keisha Ansley's debut short 'Nirvana Love & Alcohol'. Having trained under experienced Film & Tv acting coach Michael Jacques, her ability to land leading roles became prominent. Her most recent role is Lela Chambers in the feature film 'Queen of the Amazon' shot on the waters of the Rio Negro in Manaus, Brazil and set to release in 2021. She was also recently cast as Cora Springs alongside Langston Fishburne, in the feature film 'Broken Scales'. Showing versatility and range, Cristina also played a leading young mother in the debut indie feature 'Temple in the Palms' directed by University of Miami film school alum Carlos Reyes set to be released at the end of the year. She landed a major role as Brenda in the upcoming indie feature film 'A Place in the Dark' by playwright Ifè Duckie.
