Craig Azoff utilizes his background in theater, psychology, criminal justice, public administration, health care, and information systems to effectively motivate staff to complete complex health information technology projects. Craig is the Vice President of Health Plan Information Systems for Elderplan, Inc., a Medicare and Medicaid managed care organization. He has served in this capacity since October of 2015. Prior to this role, Craig was the Assistant Vice President of Application Support for Elderplan, as well as the Director of Administrative Information Services at MJHS, the parent company of Elderplan. He has been with MJHS / Elderplan for 14 years. Craig began his health care career 20+ years ago as an Intake Specialist for Psychological Managed Care Consultants, the behavior health division of Cigna. Since then, his career path has taken him to the acute care side of health care, where he has served as the Managed Care Coordinator for the Psychiatry Department at Brookdale Hospital before moving over to the world of I.T. as one of Brookdale's I.T. Project Managers. Craig holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University at Albany, as well as a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College and a Master's in Public Administration from Long Island University. Besides health care, Craig is the Vice President of a small company he started with a friend called Journey Into The Heart, where he co-leads weekend retreats for fathers and daughters working on building stronger relationships. He also is a Leader-In-Training in an organization called The ManKind Project, a personal development organization that offers life-changing experiential training and support groups for all kinds of men.
