Collin was born in a small town in Southern Illinois. His parents divorced shortly after his 1st birthday and eventually he and his mother moved to upstate New York when he was 5. Collin began playing cello in the 4th grade school orchestra and continued into high school. His interests as a teen revolved around science, genetics, and robotics. He served in a Boy Scout troop, participated in the FIRST Robotics Competition, and volunteered weekly at the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. Show less «
