The American soprano, Claron McFadden, studied voice at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York. Claron McFadden made her Glyndebourne debut in the title role of Lulu conducted by Sir Andrew Davis. Other opera performances include the Netherlands Opera, Salzburg Festival, the Opera Comique, the Bregenz Festival, Aix-en-Provence Festival, La Monnaie (Brussels) and the Royal Opera. As well as singing many of the major oratorio works, McFadden became famous for her interpretation of modern and contemporary music. She performed the world creations of: The woman who walked into doors (2004), Kris Defoort / VSPRS (2005), Alain Platel / Orrori dell'Amore (1996), Mein erstes Wunder (2004), The Accacha Chronicles (2005) and Love is the only master I'll serve (2006), Nicholas Lens. Claron McFadden is currently based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
