Inspired by Steven Spielberg's "Jaws," Chuck Gramling filmed 8mm and 16mm shorts until he was 21 years old. He eventually moved on to videotape, which was far less expensive than film. In 1988, he produced and co-starred in "All That Jaws," a 40-minute spoof which aired locally in Florida. Due to the program's regional success, he was soon offered the executive producer position on a fictional series entitled "Your Wildest Dreams: First Features From Young Filmmakers" a 30-minute televison series (similar to the HBO show "Project Greenlight."). Chuck also served as Writer/Director on three of the episodes, "The Pen Is Mightier Than The Sword," "On The Air," and "The Trouble With Shakespeare."In 1991, he co-directed a feature length spoof entitled "Batguy," which toured with that year's Sci-Fi conventions. The next year, he produced and directed a 15-minute fictional short film to promote Paramount Pictures' "Pet Cemetary II."He also worked on studio films for Fries Entertainment, Nederlander Television & Film Productions and Universal Television on such films as "Super Carrier," "Intimate Strangers," and "Road Raiders."He also became known for his writing and directing for the corporate community for such companies as Johnson & Johnson.In 2002, he served as Director of Photography on the Connecticut based comedy "The Root of All Evil." This feature length film about killer great white pine trees starred Ron Palillo (Horshack of "Welcome Back Kotter" fame) and Brandi Lynn Coppock (Former Playboy model).Chuck continues to work in the film/video production field and is constantly busy with new projects and clients.
