Born and raised in the beautiful area of east Tennessee, Christy and her family proudly call Johnson City, TN their home. In her free time, Christy focuses on volunteering through her Christian humanitarian nonprofit, Blessing Bag Ministry Inc, where she serves as the founder, volunteer, and spokesperson.Christy has worked on various projects for television series, Netflix, movie productions, commercials, and music videos. Her acting career began unexpectedly while in her mid-30's when she was offered a spot on a national commercial for Beenverified.com as a satisfied customer. Shortly thereafter, it led to a featured role on the docu-drama "Sex Sent Me to the ER". These two projects quickly made way for other docu-drama and true crimes television series which included a lead role as the brutal killer, Denise Bozarth, on Oxygen channel's "Snapped", bear attack victim, Michelle Ojeda, on Animal Planet's Monster Week "Grizzly Uprising", and on Discovery ID's "Homicide Hunter: Lt. Joe Kenda" where she played the role of Fish's mother with her real-life son in the role as her son "Fish".In 2015 Christy was offered the role of driver and shopper in the film "Masterminds", starring Owen Wilson, Kristen Wiig, and Zack Galifiniakis. The film was based on the real-life story of a guard at an armored car company in the Southern U.S. who organizes one of the biggest bank heists in American history which was based on the October 1997 Loomis Fargo robbery. This film hit the big screen and grossed over $17 million dollars world-wide.Other notable work has included commercials for organizations such as United Way's "Live United Campaign" as a beaten and battered mother, lead detective in "Countdown" for Elizabethton Escape where she had the pleasure of co-staring with her son, and as the "cell phone woman" in the music video "Stand Tall" with artists The Raging Fits.As of June 2019, Christy has been working in the movie production with Twisted Laurel Productions currently in progress called "The Blue Ridge Massacre" where she is the lead detective in a found-footage case of multiple gruesome murders. This film is being produced in her hometown of Johnson City, TN. She has agreed to come back for a sequel film where she will continue in her detective role to solve the case of the notorious murders. In addition, she has signed with Twisted Laurel Productions to play "Connie" in the upcoming paranormal television thriller Cherry Grove. Date TBD. Show less «
