Performing in theatre productions as a University student and as an actor based in London. Christopher McMullen is a resilient and highly diverse actor from experience as a director, writer and off stage as a light-rigger, stage-hand and web-site designer. McMullen was born on the 10th January 1991 to Gillian & Collin McMullen both from Cumbria whom moved to London in the 1980's. Coincidentally on his mother side his Great-Grandmother Sarah Forester was an actress that performed in her local community, in particular in Gilbert & Sullivan Operas; his mother Gillian McMullen also a talented art student. McMullen's taste or inherited taste for acting began to develop at an early age at school and was nurtured during his time at Bishopshalt secondary school in Hillingdon, North West London. The school specializing in the performing arts, especially theatre meant that in 2007, McMullen's first acting job was as a cast member in the British teen Rom-Com, Angus Thongs & Perfect Snogging, directed by 'Bend it Like Beckham' director Gurinder Chadha. The school being used as set, many of the students at Bishopshalt were chosen to participate in the film. During the filming McMullen was given advice and inspiration by one of the assistant directors, 'To keep acting and keep going in your dream'. McMullen has never looked back; aiming to increase his experience, knowledge and skills as an established actor. As a student at the University of Chester studying English Literature & Theatre Studies, McMullen earned the respect of his colleagues and peers as an actor for higher, performing for Master Degree Students in their theater pieces around campus. Moving back to London McMullen has been associated with numerous theater companies, and creating new theatre writing and theatre events around his local community of Hillingdon.
