Christina Silva was born in Downtown Los Angeles, California to parents Louie Sr. and Diane Silva. She lived in East Los Angeles, her fathers native city, until the age of four. At the age of five she moved with her family to the Los Angeles Wilshire District. Her mothers parents, Joseph Sr. and Violeta Silva were and continue to be her families neighbors. She was raised into a very close, fun, loud and loving family. She has twelve cousins and over twenty second cousins. Within Christina's culture music, dancing and get together is the norm. She is well known for hosting excellent parties and events. As a young child she attended elite private Catholic Schools in L.A. St.Brendan's Catholic School, where she met fellow actor friend Jorge Diaz. Immaculate Heart High School, the alma mater of super model Tyra Banks, and Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. There she became friends with fellow actor Spencer Grammer and E! Host Yesenia Adame.She grew up with her two brothers, Louie Jr. and Giovanni Silva, traveling, playing and getting one another into trouble. Eighteen years later her baby brother was born, Justin Silva. He came into this world a few months after 9-11 and right before she moved away to college. At three years old her father video taped Christina dancing with a doll to Retro Freestyle Music. The only girl in her immediate family she has always been courageous, adventures, a risk taker and the center of attention. She began dance training and performing at the tender age of four at The Los Angeles Music and Art School. She was always a performer and dancer. Christina was destined for the stage and entertaining. At age fifteen Hollywood came looking for her. She was discovered by her first manager at a fashion show she was in. Very unfamiliar with the industry and the business she declined the offer to be represented. However her manager sought other wise. He spoke to her parents and shared that Christina was meant to be an actress. She did very well and booked her first audition she ever went on. During this time Christina was more focused on school and applying for college.Acting was an on and off business for her. She was much more excited to attend California Institute of the Arts as a dance major and move away from home. A few months within her first semester she found out she had a once and a life time opportunity to travel, study and live in Ecuador. She dropped her books and classes and jetted on a flight to Guayaquil,Ecuador. She did not return to L.A. for months. When she settled back home she felt compelled to finish school and graduate. She attended and graduated from The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising with a B.A. in International Business and Apparel Manufacturing. Slowly around this time she was in school she began acting again. She balanced attending school and running to and from auditions. Always keeping busy Christina could not just stay in one place. While her acting career was taking off she decided to leave her life, career and family behind to live and study in China. At twenty three she traveled to China to study Mandarin and do mission work with the Maryknoll Brothers and Sisters. It was a trip she is most proud of and has such a great appreciation for the Chinese culture and people.Christina has always been a Lion. She is always trying new things and is never afraid to take risks. She is known for her great enthusiasm, compassion and call it like it is attitude.
