"Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, was born on 14th February 1992 in Middelfart, Denmark. His love of football started at an early age playing for local club, Middelfart Boldklub, where he was coached by his father. In 2004, Middelfart's under 12 side finished fifth in the whole of Denmark and also finished unbeaten in the local championship of Funen for the third time in four years.At the age of 13, Eriksen moved to Odense Boldklub and spent three years there before moving on to Dutch giants, Ajax in 2008. Here, he enjoyed great success, winning three consecutive Dutch league championships between 2011 and 2013 as well as being named Dutch Football 'Talent of the Year' and Ajax 'Talent of the Year' and Danish 'Talent of the Year' in 2011.At only 18-years old, Eriksen came on as a sub for Denmark twice in the 2010 World Cup, but grew into a figurehead for his nation in the years that followed. He scored his first international hat-trick in a friendly away to Bulgaria in the summer of 2016 before sensationally netting another treble against Republic of Ireland to give the Danes victory in their 2018 World Cup qualifying play-off in November 2017.Eriksen joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 and claimed the Supporters' Club and Members' 'Player of the Season' double.
