Christopher Lee Smith was born in Hendersonville TN in 1981 and raised in Gallatin Tennessee. Rocked in the cradle of southern pride and a strict missionary baptist upbringing, Chris is very family oriented and deeply rooted in his Christian faith. He has fond memories of growing up on his grandfather's farm and spending time with him as a child.He attended Gallatin High School and graduated in 2000. Chris then attended college in Goodlettsville TN and graduated in 2002 with a degree in commercial art. Chris worked for Gannett Publishing for 8 years as a graphic designer and then became involved in marketing.At the age of 20, Chris had a frightening paranormal experience in his grandfather's barn. He then began researching a phenomenon known as "shadow people", shadow-like humanoid figures that, according to believers, are seen mostly in peripheral vision. They are sometimes regarded in modern folklore and paranormal popular culture as malicious, evil spirits or "wraiths".He then began researching the paranormal and made a name for himself in the paranormal community. He applied and won a spot on SyFy's "Ghost Hunters Academy". He appeared in the 5th and 6th episodes of their premier series and then returned home to found his own paranormal Investigation organization. He dubbed the organization "The Tennessee Wraith Chasers".After forming the organization with 5 close friends, including Steven (Doogie) McDougal, Brannon Smith (Brother of Chris), Chasey Ray McKnight and Scott Porter, Chris began performing paranormal investigations all around the south.In August of 2011 Chris participated in Paranormal Reality spin off series "Paranormal Challenge" . Accompanied by TWC team members, Steven McDougal and Scott Porter, the three won the challenge at Old South Pittsburg Hospital and were given high remarks by the show hosts.In the fall of 2011 Chris and The Tennessee Wraith Chasers were noticed by "Tremendous! Entertainment", a production Company based out of Eden Prairie, MN. They shot a sizzle reel with the production company and later a pilot episode titled "Ghostland Tennessee" which first aired on Animal Planet on February 24, 2013 and was later picked up by Destination America.On September 7th of 2014 Chris appeared in the series premier of "Ghost Asylum" on Destination America with his team The Tennessee Wraith Chasers and the series is set to run through October 12th 2014.Chris Still resides in Tennessee today.
