Chip Chuipka was born and raised in Northern Ontario. As a child, he dreamed of becoming an astronaut and indulged in everything one could enjoy while growing up in the Great White North. An honor student during high school, Chip completed his B.S.c. at the University of Toronto in the study of parasites. After graduating, Chip spent two years going back and forth throughout Canada. Throughout that time, he worked as a carpenter, truck driver, tree planter as well as even taking up a job in bar tending. His outstanding resume at the time would take him into the world of acting. Chip trained at the University of Saskatchewan under the tutelage of long-time Peter Brook collaborator, Henry Woolf. Chip moved to Montreal in 1988. He has appeared in over 100 stage shows and numerous TV Shows, such as Are You Afraid of the Dark?, Urban Angel and Big Wolf on Campus, among other TV shows. He has also appeared in several films, including the underrated made-for-TV thriller Deadly Surveillance, the stylish sequel Scanners III: The Takeover, the box-office thriller Snake Eyes, the Roddy Piper vehicle Marked Man, the direct to video science fiction movie Sci-Fighters, also opposite Roddy Piper and If Looks Could Kill, among other films. As of 2003, Chip, also a longtime acting teacher, runs an acting studio in Montreal and continues to act to this day.
