At just 6 years old Perth born actress Chelsea Jones was performing alongside Bert Newton and Rob Guest as Gretel in 'Gordon Frost Organisations' production of 'The Sound of Music'. She made a smooth transition into film and television and began landing leading role after leading role in popular TV shows such as Irish co-production 'Foreign Exchange', 'Streetsmartz', "The Sleepover Club", and the Canadian co-production of 'Stormworld'. Her talent soon saw her acting alongside Australian icon Bud Tingwell playing mentally ill Clara in the short film 'Hidden Creatures'. Her biggest challenge yet came when she auditioned against 8,500 hopefuls in a nationwide search for the role of Tegan Freedman in Australia's longest running drama 'Neighbours'. She managed to blow casting directors away and secured the role as Donna's (Margot Robbie's) trouble-making sister and was featured on the covers of Dolly magazine and the West Australian TV guide.Chelsea has also starred in a number of commercials and presented for Western Power, ReachOut.com and at the Film and Television Industry awards alongside Ernie Dingo. Her versatility and theatre skills have seen her take the stage as various well-known characters from performing as Lady Macbeth at 'His Majesty's Theatre' to donning pink hair and a high pitched American accent as Frenchy in the stage production of Grease. Chelsea is constantly working and training at every possible opportunity she gets, be it in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, America or recently, even India and is fluent in a range of accents including Standard American, New York, and English RP.She is also a trained and passionate musician; The recipient of a music scholarship at Sacred Heart College where she received complimentary vocal and piano tuition throughout her schooling years. She has gone on to write and record her own Australian pop album in Sydney and perform at various events and festivals both as a soloist and as a lead singer in a band.Her creativity extends to other fields such as dance, art and writing all of which have seen her win awards and be part of various exhibitions and events.
