Charlie has collectively sold upwards of over 8 million records worldwide. Like most soul singers, she started singing in the church choir. While recording and shopping songs for her demo, record executives quickly took notice of her songwriting talent. She has co-written songs alongside top producers and performed as a background vocalist for international superstar Estelle.Charlie penned a song entitled "Final Goodbye" featured on Rihanna's sophomore album, A Girl Like Me. She has also written hit songs for Melanie Fiona ("Monday Morning"), Japanese superstars Kumi Koda, Naime Amuro, and Crystal Kay.
