Tom Doyle was born Charles Thomas Doyle on June 10, 1962 in Chicago, Illinois. Shortly after, his family moved to Morehead City, North Carolina, moving two other times to Washington, D.C. and Raleigh, North Carolina before settling back in Morehead City in 1969.Tom was involved in school plays from grade school on. In high school, Tom found a way to become a sports writer for the local newspaper, The Carteret County News-Times, and worked for the local radio station, WMBL-FM as a weekend disc jockey and news reporter.After high school, Tom entered the local community college until joining the Air Force and beginning a family. Tom's Air Force duty included a tour overseas in then West Germany, coming home early after experiencing family difficulty.Upon return to the U.S., Tom returned home to Morehead City, and began working again for local radio stations before moving to Greenville, North Carolina and continuing his college education at East Carolina University. While at ECU, Tom worked in the Sports Information department and got involved with the school's sports radio network, working football games as a sideline reporter and engineering football and basketball games. Upon gradation, Tom was hired full time by the school to manage the sports video department, providing video support to all of the athletic programs, primarily football, and he continued working with the school's radio network.In 1996, Tom moved to Colorado to work for the University of Colorado-Boulder in the sports video department. HE stayed there until 1998 when he became the director of the football video program at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He stayed there for 18 months before returning to the University of Colorado in 1999, where he stayed until 2004.Upon leaving the college sports video world, Tom decided to pursue a passion for acting and film. Getting involved in local independent film production in Denver, Tom started honing his skills as an actor with local coaches and mentors.
